Join us on Monday and Thursday mornings for these online co-working sessions, to add some accountability and peer encouragement to your week.
How does it work?
The sessions are particularly aimed at new doctoral students who may not yet be writing or in a regular pattern of work; you’re welcome to bring along whatever you’re working on (writing, reading, note taking, editing, training course, anything!).
The sessions are 9:30 to 12:30, and will consist of three x 60-minute blocks, each made up of 50 minutes’ focused work followed by a ten-minute break, like this:
09:30 - 10:20 Block 1
10:20 - 10:30 Break
10:30 - 11:20 Block 2
11:20 - 11:30 Break
11:30 - 12:20 Block 3
12:20 - 12:30 Wrap Up
At the start of each block, you’ll be asked to enter a short summary in the chat of what you want to achieve in the 50-minutes, and then with microphones off and cameras on (if possible / practical) we’ll work in silence. At the end of the session, you’ll be asked to note in the chat how you got on.
Because no verbal participation’s required, it’s particularly suitable for anyone working in a library or shared space.
Just think: by lunchtime, you could have finished three solid hours of work – a pretty good start to the week!
