Managed by the Social Sciences Division’s Research & Impact Team, the £1.1 million ESRC Impact Acceleration Account (IAA) provides flexible funding options for a wide range of Knowledge Exchange (KE) activities with the intention of enhancing the impact of excellent social science research.
Offering £2,500 to £25,000 for academic-led impact and knowledge exchange projects, the IAA awards support engagement with all sectors, activities at every stage of development, and researchers at any point in their career. We also encourage collaboration with our O2RB regional partners: Oxford Brookes University, Reading University, and the Open University.
Support to researchers will also be made available through training, knowledge-sharing with colleagues (both inside and outside our institution), and with the return of our Excellence in Impact Awards, celebrating great impact achievements.
Please note the following alterations in light of the COVID-19 outbreak:
- Applications are open for any COVID-19-related impact projects to all stages of the Impact Acceleration Account, unil further notice.
- The deadline for non-COVID-19 applications has been postponed until the autumn, with the following exception:
- The KE Dialogues scheme remains open (for grants up to £1,000)
Please continue to get in touch with Lorna Hards (ESRC IAA Manager) at email@example.com to discuss any potential applications.
