Oxford Teaching Innovation Forum

Oxford Teaching Innovation Forum on 6 Nov: Share and discuss innovative teaching initiatives

This networking event will host a series of short talks by academics to introduce a range of innovative teaching initiatives taking place at Oxford. This will be a chance for you not only to learn about these practices but also a place for you to help develop these and potentially initiate new practices.

We are excited to announce our speakers for this meeting:

Karen Patricia Heath, Senior Research Fellow, Rothermere American Institute: 'Space for All: The Growth Mindset as a Threshold Concept in Museum Education'

Christina Kuhn, Tutorial Fellow and Associate Professor in Ancient History, Lady Margaret Hall, and Xavier Laurent, Learning Technologist, Centre for Teaching and Learning: 'Teaching Roman History with Virtual Reality'

Chris Moos, Teaching Fellow, Saïd Business School: 'Canvas Introduction: Better Student and Faculty Experience?'

Cedric Tan, Post-Doctoral Researcher, Department of Zoology: 'Innovative eLearning: The Way Forward to Teaching Conservation Biology'

The event will take place at the Medical Sciences Teaching Centre from 2-4pm. It is open to all teaching staff at Oxford, but places are limited.
