Carbon offsetting is a widespread tool in efforts to achieve net zero emissions. If not done well, however, it can result in unintended and negative impacts for both people and the environment.
Now, researchers from across the Social Sciences Division and beyond have developed a key resource - the Oxford Offsetting Principles - to guide the delivery of net zero commitments by government, cities and companies around the world to help align work on carbon offsetting and achieve a net zero society.
