Patrick got his Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge in 1998. At Cambridge he taught courses in research methods, the social sciences and history. Patrick also supervised numerous student research projects and dissertations.
Patrick Brindle worked for 16 years in academic publishing at Pearson Education, Oxford University Press and SAGE Publications. At SAGE Patrick was, variously, Publisher for Research Methods, Publisher for the Social Sciences and, Publisher for Online Content. Patrick is currently Programme Director at City, University of London, in charge of the MA in Publishing, the MA in International Publishing, and the MA in Creative Writing & Publishing. He divides his time between his work for City and running training workshops for PhD students and faculty around the UK. Patrick has a PhD in History from the University of Cambridge.
